Talon-tastic Thursday: Mattified M&S Pastel Blue

While I'm not usually a big wearer of blue nail varnishes, some whim this morning drove me to choose this powder blue from my M&S set of pastels. 

Now that it's on, it reminds me of Spring skies and robin's eggs, and actually I like it far more than I eggspected. (Sorry.) This is three coats and Essie's Matte About You topcoat.

Pastels + matte puts me in mind of those little fairy cake topper sprinkles things that look like they've come out of a piping bag (if anyone knows the correct technical term for these, please do share.) Infinitely preferable to the school flashbacks I get with the blackboard paint effect dark colours + matte provide...
