Talon-tastic Thursay: Penguin power

Today's mani is inspired in part by the cold snap... and in part by a pair of my favourite David & Goliath pyjamas.


Fingernails: Essence Just Rock It (a nice basic flat navy creme.)

Thumbnail base colour: Eyeko Rain (skinny brush, formula manages to be both gloopy and streaky, "hidden" shimmer is totally invisible. Disappointing.)

    Oh no! I saw that polish over on Nailish Rambling's blog and was hoping it might be a dupe for the Chanel's Next Big Thing in polish, Riva. Adorable penguin. Is it a decal?

    I think it's prob too cool-toned to be a dupe for Riva, which looks more turquoise-y in swatches I've seen.

    Did the penguin freehand. He turned out well but his compatriot on my other thumb is a bit wonky (which I actually find kind of endearing! Am big softie.)
