My First FOTD*: Accidentally Easter-appropriate

Tuesday, April 03, 2012   |   6 comments

I wasn't really going for a natural spring-y, Easter-y look when I started putting on my make-up this morning, but as you can see it's kind of what I ended up with!

I actually really like it and will probably recreate it over the weekend. Since it's a bit different to what I usually wear on a daily basis I thought I'd show you what I used for it.

{Brushes L-R: MAC 187 for foundation; MAC 217 for concealer; MAC 129 for blusher;
Clinique bronzer brush}

{Base/bronzer/blusher: Vichy Dermablend in Opal; Bobbi Brown Concealer in Porcelain;
Guerlain Terracotta Light for Blondes; Topshop Blush in Flush}

{Eyes: Maybelline Full 'n' Soft mascara; L'Oreal Color Infallible eyeshadow in Flashback Silver;
Lancome Color Design eyeshadow in Romantic Lily; Le Crayon Kohl in Pop Petrol for lower lashline}

{I blended Flashback Silver (L) across the eyelids and into the crease, and Romantic Lily (R)
onto the inner 'V' of the lids using my ring finger}

{Finishing touches: Dior Addict lippie in Singulière; Anastasia Clear Brow Gel}

    We could actually be long lost makeup sisters. Practically meme que moi.

    Also - classy loo roll (kept for effect I'd imagine)

    Thanks ladies :)

    Rach - you're dead right. I always get mine in Duty Free too, I love it but no way I'd pay full whack for it.

    Le Smurf - I thought the pattern kind of fitted with the whole Easter theme ;)

    oscarwells - I like it. It doesn't feel as heavy on the skin as you might expect, but I find that it oxidises slightly on me during the day. I also don't think it wears as well or is as transfer-resistant as Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, and I find that it's inclined to go shiny after a few hours if I don't set it with powder (the DW Light doesn't.)

    I'm actually mostly using the Dermablend as a concealer to give extra coverage to any redness, imperfections, or major black circles and find it works really well for that job.

    Hope that speed review helps!
