Back in stock: Olivia Palermo's Topshop trousers!

Wednesday, May 02, 2012   |   10 comments

As seen on Olivia Palermo during London Fashion Week, Topshop's tropical print cropped trousers complete with birdies (£45) are now back in stock. La Palermo styled hers with a bright yellow cropped jumper, also from Topshop, Mulberry leopard-print calf hair heels, and an Emporio Armani black blazer apparently trimmed with dyed Big Bird moultings.

At the time of posting the trousers were still available in sizes 6, 8, 10, and 14 but I can't imagine they'll hang around too long; Olivia Palermo is second only to Kate Middleton in the "causes items of clothing to sell out entirely as soon as she wears them" stakes.

What I want to know is (a) would you wear them? and (b) if yes, will you get me a pair too?

Lynnie, she can keep them. I think they're not even all that nice on her. and I am a great admirer of her style.

I don't think I'll ever get on board with any pants that aren't plain let alone these crazy things.

They are amazing! Hmmm should I treat myself to another birthday present?! You reckon I'd be too small to pull them off?

Sonya - they are a bit crazy alright but I'm kind of loving the mad trousers trend!

Deni-o - I have *exactly* the same worry but I actually haven't been able to stop thinking about them since I saw them a few months ago...God, I am soooo tempted. And sure if they're mank on us we can always send them back. (Ok, now it's your turn to help talk us into it.)

I f*ckin love them, but I'm also a bit on the short side, a bit.. Seriousy awesome trousers, but with heels not flats. I'd say flats would make me feel really frumpy.

Damn it they are out of stock! Only size 6 left (who the hell is that skinny?!) That's a sure frickin sign we should have bought them!

Now you must go into Topshop try on a pair, take lots of photos & decide if they are worth purchasing. The fact that I have woken up in the middle of the night & checked availability means we should get them & re-establish ourselves as style princesses (we're too young for the queen tag yet thank you very much). Now quick step it to Topshop & keep me updated!

Sabrina - with the right flats I think they could work... Maybe ones with a pointed toe?

Deni-o - ACK! I flipping knew that was going to happen. Am definitely going to try and track them down in person at some point tomorrow, will send pix if I find them. (PS: go asleep you loon!)

Oh I had imagined these trousers in my mind - they actually exist! Can they now make them in the Tall section please?

Pointed flats would be very cute. Now all i have to do is loose 2 stone to get into a size 6, simples :-)

    Sara - fingers crossed!

Sabrina - I'm trying to track down a pair of pointed leopard flats at the moment, it would be easier to track down an actual leopard I think :/

Momamia - if they come back in and I see them, I will be sure to sound the alert! Do you have exams coming up?

Just had a gander on the Topshop website and they're gone altogether now.
